HIGHLIGHTING CONTRIBUTIONS AND SACRIFICES

The event is a way to thank them for their service, wherever they may have served during the Vietnam War. They also want to highlight the service of the Armed Forces during the war, and recognize the contributions and sacrifices that were made by allies of the United States during that time, especially those allies who made Minnesota their home.

RECORD YOUR VIDEO STORY TO BE ARCHIVED

They are also doing something very special. They are looking for Veterans that are willing to share their stories at the event. To participate, Veterans will be interviewed to record a video of their story. This will be archived and preserved as part of the project. Family members are also invited to help give a clearer picture of the effect that service had.

If you are a Vietnam Veteran and would be willing to share your story, please contact Bess Ellenson at bellenson@tunheim.com.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
