Yesterday, the Vice President was in Minneapolis to discuss the activities of DHS and ICE in Minnesota. If you caught the press conference on TV, you wouldn't have seen what was off to the side, next to one of the two parked ICE SUVs. The displayed item might be a subtle jab at Minnesota's Governor.

Vice President JD Vance Was In Minnesota Yesterday

Vice President JD Vance was in Minneapolis yesterday for a roundtable discussion about federal activities in Minnesota. According to Fox 9, "The vice president said he took part in a meeting with local business leaders, law enforcement and immigration officers as part of the visit" in addition to holding a press conference after the meeting.

While speaking at the press conference, Vance was standing in front of several flags and members of DHS and ICE. Some of the flags displayed at the press conference were the National Seal, while others were the US Flag. On both sides of the flags were ICE SUVs, and next to one of those SUVs was the Minnesota flag.

The Minnesota Flag Was On Display At Press Conference

The Minnesota state flag on display during the press conference was the old flag, which was blue and had the old state seal in the middle of it, not the recently adopted new state flag that features two fields of blue and an 8-pointed star in the darker blue field.

Those that aren't a fan of the new flag have likened it's resemblence to the Somalian Flag, mostly because both flags are blue and include a white star.

Was this a jab at Governor Walz and the current federal investigation into fraud?

It's unclear who put the flag on display; it may have been members of DHS or ICE, or members of Vice President Vance's staff.
