Two Twin Cities breweries were recognized for their can artwork!

In what's become an annual tradition, visual marketing agency Ceros has again revealed the top 30 Best-Looking Beer cans in America in 2019. Minneapolis' Fairstate Brewing Cooperative and St. Paul's Bad Weather Brewing both made the list.

Fairstate makes Ceros' list for the second year in a row, this time for thier can design for Spirit Foul which was brewed in collaboration with Modern Times Brewing Beer in San Diego, CA. The inspiration, believe it or not, came from the game Ultimate Frisbee:

In the sport, a “spirit foul” is an infraction that goes against the spirit of the game, if not necessarily the written rules, says Mike Schacherer, the creative director of Little and Co. “That’s why we created a hazy pattern of graphic Frisbees.

Bad Weather Brewing's can design was recognized for its nod to animated films of the 70's and 80's.

Minneapolis artist/designer Lucas Gluesenkamp creates gauzy, dreamscape illustrations with one foot in the supernatural, like this one for the Hopcromancer, in which a wizard-like figure faces a foreboding hop. Lord of the Rings recast for the craft beer crowd.

Fairstate was one of three Minnesota breweries to make the list of Best-Looking Beer Cans last year alongside Bauhaus Brew Labs in Minneapolis and Big Axe Brewing Co. in Nisswa.
