Two Hurt in Crash Near St. Wendel

ST. WENDEL -- Two people were hurt in a head-on crash near St. Wendel Friday afternoon.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Grace Mader of Freeport was westbound on County Road 4 at about 4:40 p.m. when she lost control of her car and struck an eastbound car head-on.

Mader's passenger 25-year-old Constance Mader and the driver of the other car, 22-year-old Kirsten Pfannenstein of St. Cloud were taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say the roads were icy at the the time of the crash.
