One season ago both wide receiver Tyler Johnson and safety Antoine Winfield, Jr. were playing football for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. Fast forward to this Sunday, and both will be trying to win a Super Bowl ring as members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Before playing for the Gophers, Tyler Johnson was a standout high school football player at quarterback for Minneapolis North. At the University of Minnesota, Johnson moved to wide receiver where he set school records for career receiving yards and career touchdowns.

Tyler Johnson was selected by the Buccaneers in the fifth round of last year's NFL draft.

Antoine Winfield, Jr. payed high school football in The Woodlands, Texas before becoming one of the best safeties in college football playing for the Golden Gophers -- where he was named a consensus All-American last year.

At the end of the 2019-2020 season, both Johnson and Winfield found themselves at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa for the Outback Bowl, where the Gophers defeated the 13th ranked Auburn Tigers 31 to 24.

A third former Gopher will be playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, when linebacker Damien Wilson takes the field.

Super Bowl LV kicks off this Sunday at 5:30 PM CT on CBS.
