Sartell’s Tunes & Trucks Celebrates Local Talent And Tasty Treats
SARTELL (WJON News) -- A family-friendly event is making its return to Sartell next week. The 2nd Annual Tunes & Trucks will take place at the Sartell Community Center on Tuesday. The free event will feature music from four local bands, including the Sartell Schools student ensembles and solists, and area food trucks.

Sartell Community Education Director Jen Traver says last year's event was well attended despite some inclement weather:
"Lots of people attended, it was just kind of a nice event that we wanted to make sure that we had this opportunity again, so once again, just another way to enjoy our neighbors and enjoy some pretty amazing Sartell music options."
She says they have expanded the run time because of the popularity already, and there is more room to grow:
"Right now, I think we're at a point where if this can be successful and the weather can hold out, I think we'll try and repeat for the next year. I don't foresee this being a multiple-day thing, but we were talking about potentially doing it multiple times during the summer, but we're just starting small and making sure we get it right."
Traver says even after last year, they had bands and people inquiring how they could take part.
In addition to the music and food, there is also an antique car show sponsored by the Sartell Historical Society. Tunes and Trucks runs from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
