Top-Selling Albums Of The Year…So Far

The bible of the music industry Billboard has released the music sales for the first half of 2012, a sales period that ran up through last Sunday (7/1). Mommy-to-be Adele's 21 was the only album to sell at least a million copies over the past six months,  "21" was also one of the two albums to sell over a million copies in the first half of last year.  All together "21" has sold over 9 million copies alone in the U.S. since its release in February 2011 (worldwide sales are over 22 million and counting).

Here are the Top 10 Albums and their 2012 sales totals to date:

2)  "Tuskegee" Lionel Richie..912,000 copies

3)  "Up All Night" One Direction..899,000 copies

4)  "Whitney: The Greatest Hits" Whitney Houston..818,000 copies

5) "Now 41" Various..714,000 copies

6)  "Blown Away" Carrie Underwood..602,000 copies

7)  "Tailgates & Tan Lines" Luke Bryan..574,000 copies

8)  "Pink Friday" Nicki Minaj ..557,000 copies

9)  "Take Care" Drake..549,000 copies
