‘Tis The Season – To Go With The Gift Card!

A lot of people, especially women, don't like getting gift cards as a present from their significant other. They say it's not very personal. It doesn't take a lot of thought. To that I say, SO WHAT?

Let's not forget the whole point of gift giving. The object, is to get a gift for someone that they can actually use. It's also important to make sure not to get a gift that is NOT wanted. Have you ever spent a lot of time and money on a gift for a woman, and it turns out to be a total bust! That's the worst, and most women ARE NOT that easy to shop for. Get her the gift card. Don't forget the Christmas card with all the "I love you so much" mushy stuff on the inside, because women love those. But for the 'gift' - let's just say - get her (at least) a $200 G.C. from a store that she loves, and she won't complain.

The key to the whole "gift card" thing is to go and spend the gift card with her. Be there when she uses it to buy some clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc. Women like to hear our opinion, and let's be honest, they like having our attention. Who knows, you might even get a new negligee out of the deal, or something else bedroom oriented (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)!

The best thing about giving gift cards as a Christmas present is that it saves you a ton of time. I look at it this way - Christmas is all about the KIDS - and you're not going to get the kids gift cards. You actually have to shop for the kids presents. Everyone else, though - GIFT CARD!

So, I'm sorry to ruin the surprise for some of you. If you are on my Christmas list, and you ARE NOT my son, Isaac - now you know what you're getting from me for Christmas. A dog may be man's best friend every other time of the year, but this week, it just may be a gift card that saves your butt!
