Eerily surrounded by gigantic fields, this church is so rural that Google Street View doesn't even have documentation of it.

Originally organized as the Norwegian Evangelical St. Johannes Congregation of Meeker and surrounding counties in 1861, Ness Church located in Litchfield, Minnesota is said to be one of the most haunted locations in the state.

According to Narcity.com:

This tiny country church is said to be haunted by the spirits of settlers killed during the Sioux Uprising of the 1860s. In the nearby town of Acton, a handful of young Wahpeton Indians shot and killed five settlers, including a woman and a 15-year-old girl. All five are buried here.

The incident sparked a violent conflict that ended with a mass execution of 38 Dakota Indians in Mankato - a dark chapter in Minnesota's history.

The overwhelming consensus is that the grounds are haunted by Sioux Indians as well as a little girl named Annie. Some have reported the lights of the church come on by themselves and apparitions spotted on the premises.

Avid ghost hunters frequent the grounds, and back in 2015 there was actually an instance of four people breaking into the church and being charged with felony burglary and criminal damage to property. Church officials try to curb the trespassing and unwanted break-in's by offering guided tours.

The video below seems to show an apparition caught on camera (around the 1:05 mark) but beware, there is some adult language involved.
