OpeDog Jam...that's my dream. One of them. A big music festival featuring my favorite bands that ends by 9pm on a Saturday, with all proceeds going to local animal shelters.

There's a LOT that goes into putting on a music festival; and a lot more to make it successful. It's not just about getting bands: do you have enough toilets? Are they working? How's traffic flow?

Games that simulate real-life (initially brought to the mainstream by SimCity) let us micromanage the lives of little characters to do our bidding. Building a successful city, running a successful household...now, creating and running a successful music festival.

You get to start as a backyard bash and try to build it into a global phenomenon. You get a finite (set) budget to work with, and can allegedly upload your own music to further overinflate your ego.

It's not just music, though: you need to manage the fan experience. Are there enough toilets? Non-music attractions for in-between sets? Food? How's the aesthetic?

You can even choose where to host your very own OpeDog Jam. In the desert, like Burning Man? In the woods, like Moondance/Halfway (RIP)/Lakes Jam?
