The Weekender: Elvis, Winter Wonderland and More!

Enjoy dinner and a show out at Anton's Thursday night. The restaurant is holding their holiday dinner show titled Norton's Pub. The pub is a special place where the holiday season brings out the Fruit Cake in everyone. Seating begins around 5:30 p.m. with your choice of chicken, walleye, or pork ribs. The show will start around 7:00 p.m. You're asked to call 253-3611 to reserve your seats. Performances runs tonight, Tuesday, Wednesday and next Thursday. Price for dinner and the show is roughly $37 and you will leave full of food and laughs.

Celebrate the holiday season with a pair of great local entertainers. Comedian Jason Schommer and musician Michael Shynes are performing a brand new show in Little Falls this weekend called “A Schommer & Shynes Christmas Time!” For one night only Michael Shynes and Jason Schommer join forces in a festive night celebrating the magic of the season with comedy, storytelling and music along with special guest David Gerald Sutton! Tickets are $18 and all seating is general admission. The show takes place inside the Great River Arts Center in historic downtown Little Falls on Saturday night starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (320) 632-0960, online, at the Great River Arts office during business hours, or at the door.

What has become a local holiday favorite returns to the stage this week. The musical comedy "Laughing All The Way" debuts at Pioneer Place on Fifth in downtown St. Cloud this weekend. Now in its 10th season the show has become a holiday tradition for not only the community but the local actors, musicians, writers and technical crew. The show picks up with another adventure for the crew from KLAF as they journey through this years holiday comedy. Tickets for the show start at $25. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

The holidays wouldn't be complete without Elvis and you can catch him performing in St. Cloud this weekend. BA Entertainment presents Classic Christmas: An Elvis Tribute. The show includes notable Elvis hits with holiday classics throughout, you’ll love the nostalgic feel. Plus enjoy a few laughs w/ Aunt Phyllis from Giggle-Gram Entertainment. This exciting event is one night only this Sunday at the River's Edge Convention Center. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Show starts at 4:30 p.m.

It's a holiday filled event coming to St. Cloud this weekend. Taken the family out and enjoy a day of winter. Starting at 1:00 p.m. you can take the kids to Lake George for the Winter Wonderland festival filled with cookie decorating, arts and crafts, sleigh rides and Santa. Then make your way to downtown St. Cloud for the Weihnachtsmarkt where you can check out vendors, hear live music and enjoy some German food under the festoon lighting. Finally stay for the annual Winter Nights and Lights Parade that will spread holiday cheer along fifth avenue down to the River's Edge Convention Center. All events are free to attend.
