If You Haven’t Seen The Holiday Train Tomorrow Night is Your Chance – Several Stops Scheduled in Central MN
The Holiday Train will be in Kimball on December 12, but is also making stops in Buffalo, Annandale, Gelnwood and Alexandria. See the all of Holiday Train's stops and times of arrival HERE.
The Holiday Train is a fun event, but also a meaningful one, encouraging food donations that support healthy food options.
Here’s what goes on during a Holiday Train stop. The train arrives and pulls to a safe stop in front of the crowd. The stage door lowers and the band opens with its first song. Lined up for entertainment this season is Canadian Country artist, Kira Isabella and fellow Canadian Country group, Doc Walker.
After that, a brief presentation takes place with local food bank officials and other dignitaries. Once complete, the band resumes performing a mix of traditional and modern holiday-themed songs. The whole event lasts about 30 minutes (arrival 8:55 pm, event time is slated for 9:00-9:30 pm).
Once the band plays its farewell show, the boxcar door closes, and the train slips off into the night on its way to the next stop.
