The ‘Halloween Capital Of The World’ Has Walking Ghost Tours
If you are looking for an 'authentic' Halloween experience, head on down to the Halloween Capital of the World in Anoka, and check out the walking ghost tours of downtown Anoka.
I saw a 'Reel' on Facebook that got my attention that it was all about the walking ghost tour.
The Anoka County Historical Society offers the tours, and this is how they describe them on their website:
Stories abound in Anoka of odd happenings and eerie encounters. There is a house where the rocking chair rocks with no one sitting in it. A business in town has employees who won’t enter parts of the building because of the woman seen only in a mirror. Some doors lock themselves, displays that change on their own, cold drafts…..might they all speak of things unexplained? These are real stories brought to the Anoka County Historical Society by the people who live and work in these buildings. Sixty percent history, forty percent folklore; these stories are just part of the fun you will experience on your Ghosts of Anoka tour.
If you are interested, tickets are less than $20, and the events are rain or shine events so dress for the weather. The tours are also wheelchair accessible.
Don't feel like heading down to Anoka? No problem the Anoka County Historical Society has a digital option if you still want to learn about the 'haunted' history of Anoka.
Oh bonus fun, if you are in Anoka on October 26th, the Grande Day Parade happens at 1pm. It's a blast, and fun for all ages.
