Halloween is right around the corner, and now is the time to start putting together costumes.

Three weeks after someone broke the arm of the Paul Bunyan statue in Bemidji, the folk legend and his companion Babe the Blue Ox are both looking much better!

The Paul Bunyan statue in Bemidji, MN is currently fixed up with a makeshift sling and brace after suffering a broken arm.

A map that claims to depict the most popular fictional character from every U.S. state seems to have started a war -- at least online -- between Minnesota and Maine.

Being an avid Disney fan myself, I think it is so cool that this cartoon tells a Disney-fied story of how the lakes came to be in Minnesota.

My wife and I were in the Wisconsin Dells over the weekend and enjoyed a breakfast at Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty. It wasn't until after we left that I wondered, "Why is there a giant statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox in the Wisconsin Dells?"

So apparently Paul Buyan and Babe the Blue Ox aren't just Minnesota figures.

I continued my quest this past weekend to find another great place to include in my "Day-Cation" series. My family and I love the Brainerd Lakes Area and decided to take a trip north to visit Paul Bunyan Land.
