I have learned in the past few months, that this group of ROCORI athletes can never be counted out. Tomorrow morning (AM 1390, pregame at 9:50am, 10am tip-off) the ROCORI Spartans boys basketball team (18-11) takes on top seeded Minneapolis Washburn (27-2), in the state 3A quarter finals.

Last year was one of those kind of years that just doesn't come around very often, no matter who you are. The kind of season where you know from day one, that you are without question, the best team in your; conference, league, division, area, etc. That's how it was for the Apollo Eagles last season.

St. Cloud Apollo boys basketball coach Dean Kessler said Monday senior point guard Ibrahim Abukar will not play Wednesday  in the State Tournament.  Abukar had  surgery this morning to extract bone marrow to give to his 13-year old sister who’s in need of a transplant.

There has been much 'buzz' about Biebs cutting his famous hair. (for a charity/publicity stunt). This story may have been overlooked.

I can't figure out if this is staged or an accident. You decide... We could use this kid on the Timberwolves!!
