
UPDATE: State Patrol Releases Name Of Man Who Jumped From Bridge, Seeking Semi Driver
AVON -- The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the man who jumped from a bridge and was struck and killed on Interstate 94. They say 53-year-old Lloyd Parker of Avon died when he was hit by a semi.
Meanwhile, authorities are looking for your help following the suspected suicide in Avon Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for help in locating a semi-truck that may have been involved. The patrol says a man allegedly jumped from the County Road 9 bridge in Avon onto eastbound I-94 at around 8:00 a.m.
Parker apparently walked from a parked car on County Road 9 and then jumped to the interstate below.
The patrol says the semi may have struck the man and might not realize it. Authorities are looking for a white semi which was traveling eastbound and may have front bumper damage. Troopers want to talk with the driver to determine what they may have seen.
