St. Jude Honors Minnesota Man For Over 20 Years + 500K Of Donations

It's amazing how just one person can impact so many people. Harold has been fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by organizing events in his small town for decades. He was honored recently at the hospital with a donor brick.

Harold Ankrum and his family finally got a chance to see the brick in his honor when they visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennesee in March. The pathway is the last of the bricks, there won't be any more laid down. Harold Ankrum - Wrenshall, MN is one of the last.

Harold recently retired and sold his automotive repair shop in Carlton, Minnesota (Harold's Service) after serving the community for fifty years. That's why he was finally able to visit the hospital and see the brick in his honor, surrounded by his family.

It's just a small token of how we can thank you for all you've done over the last 20 plus years, raising nearly a half a million dollars, and it wouldn't have been possible without your passion, Harold.

It was smart for Harold to wear his sunglasses to hide his tears because I know they were there! It was a special moment his family shared on Facebook. Harold would be the first to thank all of his friends and family who have helped him organize these charity events.

It all started with his annual "Harold's Fiasco Golf Scramble." Then, as years went on they added other fundraisers, like Harold's Flippin' Flapjack Pancake Feed, and Harold's Hog Roast. Even during the pandemic, they did drive up donations using baskets for people to donate money into through their car windows.
