Millstream Arts Festival In St. Joseph Celebrates 44 Years

The 44th edition of the Millstream Arts Festival in St. Joseph, Minnesota is set for Sunday, August 31st from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m..

The Millstream Arts Festival offers a full day of fun for folks of all ages and includes several art selections, a literary tent with local authors and children's activities among the many events planned.

Over 50 artists will present juried artwork, which organizers say 'provides a high level of quality, diversity and creativity.' Artworks will include basketry, ceramics, fibers, paper, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, mixed media, painting and prints. The artists themselves will be on hand to exhibit and sell their works.

The literary tent will feature authors of many genres including, fiction, narrative nonfiction, poetry and children's literature.

Children's activities will include hands-on art projects and are open for adults as well. In addition, the festival will offer free, strolling music and theater performances.

Free, on-street parking and parking lots will be available for fairgoers.

The Millstream Arts Festival began in 1982 and boasts over 5,000 visitors per year. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and is made possible by artist and author fees, a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board and a sponsorship by American Door Works.

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues.
