ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud city council have voted to give themselves, and the mayor, a raise next year during Monday night's meeting.

A compensation review panel was assembled earlier this month to review their salaries. They recommended a $1,500 increase for the Council President and Council members. That raises the President's salary from $12,500 to $14,000, and council members salaries from $11,000 to $12,500 a year.

The panel also recommended a $5,000 increase for the mayor, raising his annual salary from $45,000 to $50,000.

The panel looked a compensation data from other similar sized cities.

Council member Dave Masters noted it has been since 2006 that either the city council or the mayor has had an increase in pay.
