ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man whose criminal sexual conduct trial was to start this week has instead pleaded guilty. Twenty-two-year-old Mohamed Abdirahman Salah pleaded guilty to one count of second degree criminal sexual conduct.

Salah was accused of trying to force sex on a 14-year-old girl.

According to the criminal complaint, Salah agreed to give the girl a ride back to her home in Blaine last March. Records show Salah pulled into a parking lot and asked the girl for oral sex. The girl refused and Salah then tried to get her to touch his exposed genitals. The girl told police Salah got on top of her, grabbed her hand and pulled at her scarf.

Salah left the scene but returned to talk to police. He told officers he thought the girl was 18 and that she agreed to sex in exchange for the ride but changed her mind.

He'll be sentenced April 13th.
