Shoveling Snow Burns a Ton of Calories!
It's that time of year again. Whether you like it or not, winter has reared it's ugly head a little early and decided to dump a pretty nice chunk of snow here in the St. Cloud area.
Look, no one loves shoveling snow. It's a chore. It strains your back. You get soars on your hands if you shovel long enough. BUT - it also burns a pretty hefty sum of calories.
Did you know, according to Harvard Medical School's "Calories Burned" chart, the average person burns around 223 calories for every 30 minutes of shoveling snow?! Far out!
So, shovel away with a smile on your face and just know that you can skip the gym today, because you've already got your workout in!
