ST. CLOUD -- A new bar and restaurant in downtown St. Cloud is getting closer to opening its doors.  The owners of Searles on Fifth Ave have announced they are now hiring staff.

Co-owners Darin and Michelle Agnew say they are looking for hosts, bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff.

Searles on Fifth Ave is going to be in the historic DB Searle Building on Fifth Avenue.

The Agnews bought the building in June of this year and say they have been working to give the first two floors a complete refresh, including a new 60-line tap system on the main floor, new bathrooms on two levels, a redesigned main level seating area, and a complete renovation of the 2nd level for after-work business drinks, evening dinners, events and live music.

The Agnews describe Searles On Fifth Ave as a venue for families, business catering, off-site meetings, watching games, as well as a late night club scene.  The second floor will be more live music and open mic nights, and other special events.

The third floor will not open immediately but will open at a later date with a focus on reservation-only fine dining, multiple course meals, and private events with a Chef table feature.

Searles on Fifth Ave is hoping to be open by the end of this month, with a private soft opening, with the official date dependant on completion of construction and the hiring process.
