SEVERE BLOOD SHORTAGE CONTINUES TO GET WORSE

Summers are typically not the busiest time of year for people to decide that it's time for them to give blood; but because of the unusual circumstances revolving around the pandemic, blood shortages nationwide are at an all time high, and the American Red Cross is hoping that people will step up to the plate and make a donation.

According to the article by WCCO Minneapolis,  the shortage is being caused by a rise in trauma cases, as well as organ transplants, and the many surgeries that had to be put on hold during the pandemic.

The Red cross says they are hoping people will give now, and continue to give all summer long.
