The organizer, Marla Waseka, has pulled together a collaboration of skilled vendors. This event will offer refinished/restored/repurposed items in addition to hand-crafted inventory such as soaps, bath salts, and jewelry. This is all supplemented with goods of nature, including plants, agates, crystals, oils, and honey.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Marla Waseka recently, and asked her how Sage & Salvage came to be.

RENOVATIONS

Waseka purchased the hardware store at 413/415 E. St. Germain St, St. Cloud in June of 2022. 'A methodical renovation of the building has been underway ever since - beginning with the apartments on the upper level, the basement, readapted into a gym, and finally, the 413 street-level retail space. The 415 retail space in the building is currently under renovation in preparation of a future lease,' Waseka said.

MOXIE LADIES

Waseka is the principal designer and owner of MoXie Ladies that has been a Limited Liability Company since 2008. The business model is the purchase of historic properties for the purpose of performing a renovation that is sensitive to the building’s character and age.

The first structure was a 1913 Craftsman home located near St. Cloud State University. The home was named Annabelle, and lovingly restored back to her original craftsman design. The second house, Bea, is an adorable story-and-a-half cottage just South of Division St. Both houses were sold outright in 2022 and reinvested into 'Camille' at 413/415 E. St. Germain St.

'Camille' now has parking right on the street, and we are all excited about what Sage & Salvage will bring to St. Cloud.
