It's been quite a week for Minnesota Wild defenseman Quinn Hughes.

On Sunday, Hughes and his United States hockey teammates defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime to capture a gold medal, with Quinn's brother Jack scoring the game-winning goal.

On Monday, Hughes and his teammates were in Miami partying well into the night in celebration of the United States' first men's hockey gold medal since 1980 and only its third ever.

On Tuesday, the team attended the State of the Union address after an invite from President Donald Trump. During that speech Trump said USA goalie Connor Hellebyuck would receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

On Thursday, the Wild returned from the Olympic break to beat arguably the best team in the NHL, the Avalanche, on the road, helping Minnesota to its sixth straight win.

Now, according to FanDuel Sports North and The Athletic, Hughes will appear on this week's episode of Saturday Night Live.

THE ATHLETIC:

Wild president of hockey operations and general manager Bill Guerin confirmed what FanDuel Sports North publicized Thursday night, with the Wild playing the Colorado Avalanche in Denver, that Hughes will fly to New York on Saturday for his 11:30 p.m. “Saturday Night Live” appearance at NBC studios and then return to New York on Monday for an afternoon taping of Fallon’s show. After each production, he will fly back to Minnesota to play the St. Louis Blues on Sunday at 4 p.m. CT and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. CT

Fatigue did not seem to be a factor for Hughes in Wednesday's win over the Avs as the defenseman led Minnesota with 26:12 of ice time while adding his 53rd assist of the season.
