Poor Form! Entrepreneur Getting Stiffed At Honor System Corn Stand
A local entrepreneur has been getting the wrong end of business lately. An honor system sweet corn stand, run by an 11-year-old named Grant, has seen record numbers of corn leave his stand, the only problem is that no one seems to be paying for it. Yesterday his frustrated father took to social media, and his post spread like wildfire.
In a post on social media, the father, Paul, wrote in frustration as he watched his son struggle with the corn theft.
The message, which was about calling out the theft of corn from an 11-year-old, was seen across social media in various local groups.
The community reaction so far online has been all positive, and many of the comments left on the post were words of encouragement for this entrepreneurial 11-year-old.
As you read from Paul B's post if the business doesn't become profitable, it will close, unless things turn around in the next few days.
The corn stand is outside Foley Hardware Store, which is right next to Murphy Chevrolet at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 25 in Foley. The Foley Hardware Store is located at 190 Glen Street.
Is it summer in Minnesota if you don't get sweetcorn from a side-of-the-road stand? (No, no it is not)
If you stop to support this young entrepreneur, let him know how proud you are of him to take this risk of starting a business, not all 11-year-olds are spending their summers trying to make a few bucks.
