Peter Pan is a Girl [VIDEO]

Peter Pan is coming to NBC in a live musical! Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, will be played by Allison Williams, you probably know her as the hot one from HBO's "Girls". Watch the video above and see a proud dad, Brian Williams, making the announcement on NBC Nightly News.

It's not unusual that Peter Pan has been cast for a female actress. There have been many female actresses to play the Pan Man. NBC's other option for the part was the funny little blonde, Kristen Bell, but she had a schedule conflict.

The same people who produced NBC's "The Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood last year will be making this Disney classic come to life in December.

They even landed Christopher Walken to play Captain Hook.
