One Killed, One Hurt in Rock-Climbing Accident at Minnesota Park
Taylors Falls, MN (KROC AM News) - An apparent rock-climbing accident at a popular east-central Minnesota park has left one man dead and another injured.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office says a 911 call was made around 4:00 pm Thursday from the lower landing area of Interstate State Park along the St Croix River in Taylors Falls.
Deputies arrived to find one man unconscious and no longer breathing. The 23-year-old was from Minneapolis.
The other man was taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. There is no report on his medical condition. The 31-year-old is from Savage.
The identities of the men have not been released yet.
The sheriff’s office says “The apparent climbing accident is currently under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.”
