Our dear friend and Junior from Apollo High School, Parker Kayser was in the studio today with his fellow classmates, Senior Alicia Filiyaro and Sophomore Gabby Hermanson, promoting their project "#1C - Number One Consequence".  Eagle CmPs is a part of the Minnesota Future Problem Solving Program.

The program was created to help kids learn to use their critical, creative and analytical thinking skills, and these kids are putting those skills into action.

The kids wanted to focus on the problem of texting while driving. Alicia said she noticed immediately that it wasn't just kids doing it, but parents, teachers, and the general public.

Because of the dangers of texting and driving, the kids have created a banner for people to sign, to make the commitment to stop driving and texting. They are also doing other presentations around the area to raise awareness for their project.

Chad and I signed the poster, committing to NO TEXTING while driving. Whether you are able to sign their poster or just listen to the important message, we hope that everyone who reads this story will commit to NO TEXTING AND DRIVING. For more information about the Minnesota program, click HERE.
