Neighbors Sue Over Kids’ Driveway Basketball

ST LOUIS PARK PROBLEMS

That's what one family in St. Louis Park is dealing with right now. A couple with two young boys, installed a basketball hoop in their drive thinking it would be a great way for their family to stay active and spend time together. Unfortunately, that basketball hoop has created major drama for them with their new neighbors who do NOT want their kids to play basketball near their home.

According to the article, the new neighbors moved into the area about a year ago and had concerns about the location of the family's basketball hoop. The Moeding family discovered that it was 6 inches too close to the property line, so they moved it with the city's approval.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Even though they did the neighborly thing, the new neighbors weren't happy with that. They have now filed a restraining order against the family's father, which was dismissed.

A SIMPLE BASKETBALL HOOP

Now they are filing a civil lawsuit against the family, all because of a basketball hoop. They are also asking for a temporary injunction to keep the boys from playing basketball in their driveway this summer, because the kids are trespassing when they get the balls that bounce onto the neighbor's property.
