Native Minnesotan, Carolyn Wiger, Talks Traitors and Survivor
To be completely honest, since the first, and part of the second season of "Survivor", I have not watched the show. I have watched some highlights here and there, but I haven't watched a full seaon of "Survivor" since naked Richard Hatch won, and then went to jail for tax evasion. Fun times.
I have, however, watched all 3 seasons of the Peacock series "The Traitors".
This show is very good filled with intrigue, lies, deceit, murder, bansihments and all sorts of other backstabbing as the "Faithfuls" and "Traitors" try and complete missions to win money for the final payout all while trying to navigate their journey as to figuring out who is a "Faithful" and who is a "Traitor". The whole thing seems like it would be extremely stressful to be either one of the players on the show.
The third season of the Traitors is streaming now on Peacock. Normally you have to wait week to week for a new episode, but now, since the season has wrapped, you can binge the whole thing.

One of the Traitors on the show (we as viewers know who is who the whole time) was someone from Hugo, Minnesota. Carolyn Wiger was also a contestant on the CBS competition show Survivor. In her "real life" she is a drug and chemical dependancy counselor.
Carolyn, in her exit from the show, said her time on The Traitors was super stressful and not exactly what she expected. She said that going in she really wanted to be a traitor until she was, and it was way more work than she thought ie would be, and not nearly as much fun as she had hoped.
I still think it would be fun to be on The Traitors... there are some gross things that you have to go through during some of the missions, but nothing like starving and then having to eat VERY questionable things like you do on Survivor. No thank you.
