The looming government shut down will lead the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to close the gates on all of Minnesota's State Parks, leaving many out of luck for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. Luckily here in Central Minnesota, we have several gorgeous county parks right here in our backyard on both lakes and rivers. Many have available campsites for a weekend stay, or you can grab the family and have a picnic and day at the beach without ever really leaving town which is virtually FREE. Can't beat that! This past Saturday, Derek and Cassy of Pennsylvania were set to get married at a local church. well, Derek was "preparing" the church and such Friday night for the big day Saturday and when he came home at about 2:30am Saturday morning, he was walking up the stairs in his house in the dark and managed to slip and fall down an entire flight of 15 stairs. He broke three ribs and punctured his lung which caused it to collapse. Well, instead of cancel the whole wedding, the hospital staff, family and the couple's friends decorated Derek's hospital room and they held the wedding at the hospital. Derek wore his tux over his hospital gown and Cassy donned her wedding dress and they exchanged vows right there at the hospital which is where Cassy has been spending her days and nights. Does that count has a honeymoon?
