The State of New York has deemed the age old street game wiffle ball as a potentially deadly hazard for our children. Classics like dodgeball, kickball, freeze tag, capture the flag, steal the bacon and red rover have also been put into these categories, so the bureaucrats in the Empire State have passed legislation that regulates these "dangerous activities". Under the rules, any program that offers two or more organized activities will be labeled a summer camp and parents will have to pay $200 to register and pay for medical staff. Many parents think that this will cripple smaller parks and rec programs and feel that having kids playing outside is exponentially better than having them sit on their butts all summer. What do you think? Do you agree that these activities are dangerous or are we being legislated to death?

If you ever needed a reason to NOT have an exotic and deadly pet, please let this serve as your warning. Last week, a woman in Kansas was attacked by her fluffy little...SNAKE! Ack! Howie is her eight foot long python and she was feeding him when he snapped and turned on her. He clamped his jaws down on her neck and wouldn't let go. Her son called the police who came over and pried Howie off of her. She suffered non life threatening injuries, but she was issued a misdemeanor citation for having a vicious animal and ordered to remove it from her home.
