A new commercial for the Apple Watch features a Duluth man who shares how the Apple Watch saved his life.

A new commercial for the Apple Watch went live last Thursday and features Duluth man Michael Jackson (yes, that's really his name). Jackson has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which is a form of paralysis that affects all four limbs.

In the ad, Jackson shares how he was awakened by a notification on his Apple Watch that alerted him his heart rate was faster than it should have been. He was taken to the ER where it was determined he had sepsis -- a life-threatening illness caused in response to an infection.

"I’ve always admired Apple, but I never thought that I would have ever admired Apple for potentially saving my life."

At his Facebook page, Jackson says that he had to keep quiet about the ad, but he did go out to California a few months ago.

At time of writing, the video has had over 158,000 views.
