Minnesota’s Longest Snow Tube Run Opens For the Season on Nov. 30

Just because the weather has been warmer than normal this week, doesn't mean we can't have some winter fun.

Just about an hour from the St. Cloud area in Nisswa is Mount Ski Gull, home to one of the states longest snow tubing lanes. The cable itself that takes you to the starting point is 760 feet long and has a rise of 300 feet. After launching from the top of the run, you'll speed down roughly 1,000 feet, or three football fields!

The best part about snow tubing is that anyone in the family can do it. Skiing and snowboarding are great fun, but they require a lesson or two to get your bearings. Snow tubing you just hop on and go.

Mount Ski Gull provides the tubes, so you just need to show up in your snow gear and pick up a lift ticket for a day of fun.

A Two Hour Pass for all ages is $19.99, and a All Day Pass for all ages is $34.99. If you have the whole family going they offer a special package: Family of 4 Tubing Pass for $84.99 and includes hot dog, chips and drink for four.

Now is the time to start making plans for Christmas break, and a day trip up here would make an awesome "experience" gift for the kids and kids at heart in the family. I'm definitely an experience instead of "things" gift giver so I will be pitching this idea in my family for sure.
