Minnesota Has One of the Best School Systems in the Country
With back to school on the brain for many area teachers and parents, it is comforting to know that Minnesota has one of the top school systems all across the United States. Wallethub conducted this study based on 50 different key metrics like safety, and student to teacher ratios. Minnesota's total score was a 60.34, only 14 points behind the number one state of Massachusetts. Not bad! Here is how the top 10 lay out:
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- Conneticut
- New Hampshire
- Vermont
- Virginia
- Minnesota
- Maryland
- Wisconsin
- Colorado
A couple other key points from the studies findings:
- Minnesota had the second highest math score in the country
- It also had the 4th highest median SAT score
Unfortunately our overall safety fell just below the middle of the pack, coming in at number 27 out of 50 states. Extra measures to make our schools safer will help boost us in the years to come! Overall, great job Minnesota! We are a bunch of smart cookies!
