Man Goes To Jail Over 99 Cents
A New York man now faces a whopping $50,000 bail after police said he tried to rob a convenience store of 99 cents.
More proof that crime doesn't pay - especially if you're stupid.
Christopher Tisley, a 34-year-old Brooklyn resident, sauntered into the store at about 3 a.m. on Saturday with a gun and ordered the clerk to hand over the change, according to police.
"Gimme all your... change?"
That's a new one.
The clerk denied Tisley the 99 cents he requested and, after another customer walked into the convenience store, he exited. The clerk locked the doors after Tisley left, but according to court records, he returned again and began pounding on the doors and windows to let him in again.
Shortly after, an angry Tisley was arrested about a block away by police officers. They were unable to recover the gun, but did find 3 grams of methamphetamine in Tisley's possession. He's since been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.
The worst part? He never did get his 99 cents.
The moral to this story, boys and girls, is that you will certainly run into your fair share of weirdos, if you frequent the convenience store at 3am.
