Judy Garland’s Dress From ‘Wizard Of Oz’ Up For Auction
There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like owning your own item from The Wizard of Oz!
If you're like me, you went as Dorothy for Halloween, but now you can own the original dress she wore for the movie! An expensive one, but nothing beats original! Experts think the dress could sell for half a million dollars!
The white puff-sleeve blouse and blue gingham pinafore has inspired countless Halloween costumes since the film was released in 1939. Although several identical dresses were made for the production, the dress to be sold is the only version seen in the film and the only complete original dress to survive.
The outfit will be on view at London's Stafford Hotel, because I know we all have the free time and money to visit London! But, a little closer to home you can view the dress at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, Nov. 5-9, The auction will take place on the 10th of November.
