Minnesota E-Biker Seriously Injured In Collision with Car
Aurora, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in northern Minnesota say an electronic-biker was critically injured after being hit by a car Tuesday night.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred shortly before 11 p.m.
It happened on CSAH 100 five miles south of Aurora, which is about 18 miles east of Virginia, MN.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates the car and E-bike were both heading north when they collided. The E-bike operator has been identified as 22-year-old Frank Raymond Vandehey of Aurora.
Vandehey was taken to a nearby hospital with what are being described as serious injuries. Deputies identified the car driver as 55-year-old Theodore Philip Pemble. Pemble was not hurt.
St. Louis County detention records indicate Pemble was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on suspicion of Drivers' Licenses - Driving Restrictions--Alcohol/Controlled Substance and for Driving Without Proof of Insurance.
Pemble was booked into jail around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
