Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Minneapolis are investigating an apparent shooting that claimed the life of a young man.

A news release says officers responded to multiple reports of a vehicle idling along a residential block for several hours. Police found the vehicle shortly before 10:30 Monday night. 

Upon investigating officers found a man believed to be in his 20’s inside of the vehicle and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police secured the scene and canvassed the area but are not reporting any arrests as of Tuesday morning. The Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide detectives have begun investigating the fatal shooting. 

Members of the Forensic Division also responded to gather evidence. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man's name as well as his cause and manner of death upon completion of an autopsy.
