Hockey fans in Central Minnesota won't have long to wait for the puck to drop on another season. Both the NAHL and NA3HL seasons start in September, and two local teams are gearing up for their quests for a championship. Here are the upcoming September games for both the St. Cloud Norsemen and the Granite City Lumberjacks.

St. Cloud Norsemen

The St. Cloud Norsemen play in the Central Division of the NAHL, and their season starts on September 19th. The Norsemen will be at home taking on the Minnesota Mallards to kick off the season. Game time is scheduled for 7pm at the MAC.

In addition to the home opener/season opener at the MAC, the Norsemen are scheduled to play five games in the month of September. Other dates in which the team will be playing in September are:

  • September 20th, against the Minnesota Mallards in Forest Lake at the Forest Lake Sports Center, game time is scheduled for 7pm.
  • September 24th, against the Philadelphia Rebels (East Division) in Blaine at the National Sports Center on Rink 2, game time is at 1:30pm.
  • September 26th, against Johnstown Tomahawks (East Division) in Blaine at the National Sports Center on Rink 2, game time is at 3pm.
  • September 27th, "home" against the Springfield Jr. Blues (Midwest Division) in Blaine at the National Sports Center Rink 2, game time is at 3pm.

Granite City Lumberjacks

The Granite City Lumberjacks play in the West Division of the NA3HL, and their season starts on September 13th as they welcome Willmar to the Miller Buick GMC Arena. The Lumberjacks and the Warhawks are scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm. The Lumberjacks play two other games during September, and those games are:

  • September 26th at home against the Wisconsin Woodsmen (Central Division), game time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
  • September 27th at home against the Wisconsin Woodsmen (Central Division), game time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
