If you love fresh bread, caramel rolls, coffee, and supporting local businesses, you’re going to want to get to The Backwards Bread Company in St. Cloud this Saturday.

Backwards Bread Company is celebrating its 7th anniversary on October 3rd!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BACKWARDS BREAD

I've been at the Backwards Bread Company's anniversary celebration for years now, and this year, once again, they are throwing a big 7th anniversary celebration for their customers.

If there is one thing I've learned over the years, it's that you want to get there early! You'll be getting up when it's still dark outside. People are usually standing in line at 6 am for the 7 am opening.

Backwards Bread is known for selling out of its goodies well before the day is over at 1 pm.

ENJOY THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE TRUCKS

In addition to the delicious baked goods available for purchase, you can bring the whole family to enjoy other tasty yummies from several area food trucks, including RockNRolls, Jitterbug, and more.

Customers will receive free locally sourced apple cider from Ballantine Co. in Avon, along with a free butter croissant with purchase. RockNRolls will have homemade caramel rolls, and Jitterbug, the Local Blend’s mobile coffee setup, will be there serving coffee and espresso drinks.

If you’re hungry for something more substantial, Warren’s Barbecue will have a food truck on site serving breakfast burritos, pulled pork sandwiches, fries, cheese curds, and homemade barbecue sauces.

MUSIC FROM BARREL-AGED DUO

What would a Minnesota outdoor celebration be without some live music? You'll be able to enjoy live music from the Barrel-Aged Duo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

BRINGING TOGETHER LOCAL BUSINESSES

One of my favorite parts of events like this is getting the chance to discover other local businesses, and Backwards Bread is bringing together a whole village of local vendors for the celebration.

You’ll find handmade jewelry and art from Notes-N-Bling, canned goods and crafts from Joppe’s Crafts & Foods, wood crafts from Cattail Craft, handmade products from MC Cravings & Creations, baked goods, jewelry and home decor from Jens Tiny Shop, crochet creations and 3D printed toys from BeAlwaysKind Designs, and goat milk lotions, balms, candles and skincare products from CR Farm Fine Goat Products.

RAFFLE DRAWINGS

There will also be a free raffle drawing with themed baskets, gift cards from local businesses, Backwards Bread gift cards, merchandise, and other fun prizes, and the kids can get in on the fun too with a coloring contest.

Seven years is a pretty big milestone for a small local business, and this celebration is really about the people who have helped Backwards Bread get here.

SAVE THE DATE - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD, 7 AM TO 1 PM

Whether you discovered the bakery recently or have been buying their bread and treats for all seven years, they want to celebrate with you and say thank you for supporting their business. Remember to get there early, get in line, and come hungry. Backwards Bread usually runs out of many of their favorites early in the day, and you definitely don’t want to hear about all the good stuff you missed.
