Neighborhood Scout's overview of "St. Cloud, MN" notes that the Granite City is "a larger medium-sized city" and "the eighth largest community in Minnesota." It also reveals that -- unlike some cities -- St. Cloud isn't mainly white- or blue-collar but a mix of both and overall "a city of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals."
As far crime, St. Cloud has a Crime Index of 7; 100 is the safest. In other words, St. Cloud is only safer than 7% of all other cities in the country, which is not very impressive at all.
"With a crime rate of 42 per one thousand residents," says Neighborhood Scout, "St. Cloud has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 24. Within Minnesota, more than 96% of the communities have a lower crime rate than St. Cloud."
