Foggy Conditions Lead to I-94 Crash
MONTICELLO -- A crash involving a MnDOT snowplow sent a Shorewood man to the hospital with serious injuries this (Monday) morning.
The State Patrol says 55-year-old Paul Boynton was westbound on I-94 west of Monticello when the crash happened after 8:00 a.m. A plow truck was also westbound on I-94 and was treating the roads when the Ford van rear-ended the truck.
The plow driver had all warning lights activated, but foggy conditions are believed to have played a role in the crash.
Boynton was taken to Monticello Hospital but was transferred to North Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the snowplow, 47-year-old Brad Vance of Buffalo was not hurt.
