The Vikings are a young team, but it was the old timers who helped lift the team passed a strong Raiders team on Sunday.

30-year-old Adrian Peterson ran for 203 yards and a touchdown while 37-year-old Terence Newman had two interceptions as the Vikings defeated the Oakland Raiders 30-14 Sunday afternoon in Oakland.

All Day, not only ran great, with an 80-yard rush for a score... Peterson tied O.J. Simpson for the most 200-rushing-yard games in his career.

It's fun to watch Adrian Peterson run the ball, but the Vikings defense is extremely fun to watch. They're young, fast, hit hard and always seem to be in the right place.

The Vikings now stand as the sole division leader in NFC North, with the rival Green Bay Packers coming to TCF Bank Stadium this Sunday.

If Peterson and the hard hitting defense can lead the Vikings past the Packers this week, it’s going to be tough to stop the Vikings from winning the North – and possibly earning a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
