The Old Farmer's Almanac for 2020 is predicting another snowy winter for Minnesota. So much so that they are referring to it as a "parade of snow storms". Something tells me this won't be as enjoyable as an actual parade.

"This winter will be remembered for big chills and strong storms bringing a steady roofbeat of heavy rain and sleet, not to mention piles of snow,”
- Janice Stillman, editor of The Old Farmer's Almanac

In a press release for the new almanac, it says bone-chilling cold could make some snowy areas even more unbearable. The Heartland westward to the Pacific Coast will start getting cold just after New Year’s. The cold will continue through Valentine’s Day. TWO MONTHS OF COLD.

Also in the press release:

As winter rages, the tip of the nice-berg will be Florida, the Gulf Coast, and Texas, which will bask in pleasant weather.

Good for Florida and Texas. Hope they know how good they have it.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac was about 80% accurate in predicting last winter’s wild weather. They make their predictions 18 months in advance, but base it off long term weather patterns and trends vs. day-to-day predictions. I mean just look at the predictions they made for this week. Pretty spot on.
