ST. CLOUD -- Downtown St. Cloud will be full of holiday spirit this weekend with the annual Winter Festival.

You can dive right into the festivities on Friday night with the Polar Express Plunge at Lake George. Proceeds from the event will help the homeless in our community and each plunger is asked to donate toys or food to brighten the holidays for less-fortunate families. The Polar Express Plunge begins at 6:30 p.m. with 5:30 p.m. check-in.

On Saturday afternoon, you can bring the family out to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Winter Wonderland. The event will include sleigh rides, cookie decorating, and a penguin exhibit. Winter Wonderland runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lake George Municipal Complex.

After the Winter Wonderland, be sure to stay downtown for the Winter Nights and Lights Parade beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the theme, "All Aboard the Polar Express."
