If you have been like me, and took off the time between Christmas and New Year's Day, you may have found yourself watching a lot of Netflix or whatever streaming service you have. And, if you are like me, you may have also found yourself getting bored.  It reminded me a bit of what was happening a couple of years ago during the pandemic.  There was the joke of people saying that they had just finished Netflix.

With all of that said, this could be fun if you are finding yourself bored because of the weather, and the lack of things to do outside - that is, if you don't like the cold.

Parkwood Theatre in Waite Park has a cool thing that they have been doing for awhile.  It's the Mystery Movie day.  Each month they will pick a movie which is a complete surprise.  Ahead of the movie, they will at least let you know what the rating is, so you know if it's family friendly or not.  They also say that they know that not everyone wants to see a horror flick, so they will let you know that too... so they say.

The Mystery Movie for this month is happening this coming Monday, Jan 6th.  If you go to the Parkwood Theatre website, you will see that the Mystery Movie is rated R.  So keep that in mind.  The website also says that they will let you know if it's a horror flick, but right now that is not listed.

QUESTION: Will Horror Movies Be Part of the Mystery Movie Program?

Yes! And because we know that not everyone wants to be surprised by a horror movie, we will let you know ahead of time if that is the genre.

So, they say they will let you know, but you can buy tickets now, and it's not listed.  If you care about that, I would hold off buying the ticket until they announce if it's a horror flick or not.  If you don't mind that, go ahead and get your tickets now!

Time to check out a Mystery Movie at Parkwood Theatres in Waite Park!
