A dash cam video posted to Facebook Monday shows the frightening moment a child in a car seat falls out of a moving vehicle and into the road.

According to Bring Me the News, Chad Mock was driving in Mankato near a Hy-Vee when the right side rear door of the vehicle in front of him opens, and a child in a car seat falls out.

The car door closes, and the vehicle passes through an intersection before disappearing outside of the camera's view.

Mock comes to a stop just feet from the child, quickly running into the street and flagging down an approaching vehicle that also stops. As others run to the scene, Mock checks the toddler who -- incredibly -- appears uninjured and ok.

According to a police report cited by BMTN, the incident happened just before noon Monday. The two-year old was properly fastened into the car seat, but the car seat was not properly fastened into the vehicle. Police say the child's mother was driving the vehicle and are seeking to charge her with child endangerment.

Twenty-one hours after the video was posted to Mock's Facebook page, it was been viewed 363,000 times and shared 3,530 times.
