Cub Foods & Lift Bridge Brewing Partner for Cinnamon Bread Beer
Two Stillwater-based businesses have partnered for a delicious new carb-loaded beverage.
On Monday, Minnesota brewing giant Lift Bridge Brewing announced a partnership with fellow Stillwater-based Cub Foods for a special new beverage: Cinnamon Bread Beer.
"We're happy to officially announce a delicious collaboration between two Stillwater, MN success stories," said Lift Bridge Brewing on social media. "Cub and Lift Bridge Brewery have come together to create a special brew just in time for spring: Lift Bridge Cinnamon Bread Beer." Described as a light ale inspired by the toasty deliciousness of Cub’s Chunky Cinnamon Bread, the Lift Bridge Cinnamon Bread Beer has specialty roasted malts and natural cinnamon.
Founded in 2008, Lift Bridge Brewing is Minnesota's 6th largest craft brewery renowned for its flagship beers Farm Girl Saison® and Hop Dish® IPA. It is also one of the six members of the Alliance of Minnesota Craft Breweries -- a coalition of Minnesota breweries fighting against Minnesota's outdated liquor laws and the "Growler Cap," which restricts how and when a brewery can sell its product from its taproom.
Cub foods was co-founded in 1968 by brothers Charles and Jack Hooley, brother-in-law Robert Thueson and and friend Culver Davis, Jr., according to Press Pub. They established locations in Fridley, Brooklyn Park, Little Canada, Maplewood and Stillwater and eventually sold them to SuperValu in 1980.
